Gneiss Energy has been appointed financial adviser to Pi Polymer Limited (“Pi Polymer”) to arrange funding for the company’s first advanced plastics recycling facility (the “APRF”) in Perthshire, Scotland.

Pi Polymer has developed an infra-red optical sorting system that separates whole mixed dense plastics, then cleans, shreds and granulates them to produce a valuable flake for sale to plastic manufacturers. The APRF will allow waste plastics that are currently disposed into landfill sites, or into the world’s oceans, to be recovered and recycled in a circular solution.
