Alba Fuentes Delpon
Alba is an analyst with in-depth experience in corporate governance, sustainability and climate risk and has a particular understanding of the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
Prior to joining Gneiss, Alba supported a research company in evaluating the UK electricity market and associated greenhouse gas emission reporting legislation. Previously, she worked in Compliance and Corporate Social Responsibility at Uhy, a Spanish Management Consultancy, where she supported corporates with sustainability reports and their assurance in line with recognized regulatory standards. She was also exposed to the implementation of management and governance systems in international companies across a number of different sectors.
Whilst completing her studies, Alba’s research focused on how climate litigation and activist shareholder proposals in addition to regulations are being used as a tool to force disclosure on climate-related risks for the financial sector, in order to align business models with the Paris Agreement.
Alba recently graduated with a LLM in Global Environment and Climate Change Law from the University of Edinburgh, and holds a Master’s in International Affairs from Comillas Pontifical University and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Zaragoza.
