Luke Kanczes

Luke is an experienced Investment Banking specialist with a focus on the oil & gas sector. He has experience of corporate M&A, asset A&D, fundraising and strategic advisory and has led on deals across the North Sea, Africa, Middle East, LatAm and SE Asia.

Luke earned a First-Class Honours in Mathematics from Imperial College London and is a CFA Charterholder. He started his career at Macquarie in their natural resources and infrastructure Investment Banking teams, later co-leading Scotiabank’s London-based EMEA Energy Investment Banking team, before joining Gneiss.

Luke is a skilled M&A professional, with experience advising on some of the largest deals in the sector across the full energy spectrum and across all stages from exploration to development to production. He also has a keen interest and expertise in AI and Data, and in his role will also lead the growing adoption of AI within Gneiss.
