Mohammed is an expert in oil & gas asset management having held technical subsurface asset management roles across a range of international basins. In addition, he has a strong capability in Climate Risk advisory, having advised Supermajors on the evolving regulatory landscape since the publication of the Task Force for Climate Related Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations in 2017.
Mohammed recently led a subsurface asset team at Petroleum Development Oman, managing field development and capital allocation across a large mature onshore development, with production exceeding 60,000 barrels of oil per day. Previously, he worked at Total and Maersk Oil in senior reservoir engineering roles on assets located across the North Sea and Middle East.
Commercially, Mohammed previously advised KPMG as an upstream oil & gas subject matter expert, supporting external auditors by evaluating and approving sign-off on the technical viability of development plans and subsequent reserves and production profiles underpinning key impairment calculations. Before that, he worked in Energy M&A at Macquarie and GMP FirstEnergy, advising on oil & gas transactions internationally with a deal value in excess of US$ 6bn.
Mohammed holds a Masters in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College London and Bachelor of Science (hons) in Chemical Engineering from University College London.
